Forged in the fire. Held together by hardware.
I didn’t pick the name Titanium & Bone for the aesthetic. I picked it because I’m literally made of both. After a spinal fusion and enough medical hardware to qualify for TSA PreCheck on sight alone, I realized that’s exactly what this imprint — and my writing — stands for: strength you can’t see, healing that isn’t pretty, and stories that creak a little when the weather changes.
Founded by author Heather Faith, Titanium & Bone Publishing began as the home for her memoir The Alchemy of Pain— a book forged from trauma, faith, dark humor, and a refusal to stay broken. But it can be more than that. A banner for anyone who’s ever crawled out of the wreckage and said, “Well, that was character development.”
Titanium is what held me together when life tried to break me.
Bone is what reminds me I’m still human.
Together, they make something breakable and beautifully flawed — and somehow stronger at the weakest points.
What if the worst things that ever happened to you were also the very things that shaped you into someone strong enough to survive them?
In The Alchemy of Pain, Heather Faith-disabled combat veteran, mother, and survivor of nineteen miscarriages, a partial spinal cord injury, medical trauma, divorce, and estrangement-delivers an unapologetically raw memoir of what it means to rebuild a life from ash. With gallows humor, gut-punch honesty, and lyrical prose, she excavates the kind of pain most people bury.
This isn't a victim's narrative. It's a reckoning. Told across four vivid acts, Heather brings readers inside sterile surgical suites, failed IVF cycles, the surreal chaos of combat zones, the dismantling of a marriage, and-finally-the hard-won miracle. Along the way, she confronts familial dysfunction, near-death experiences, and the aching beauty of rediscovered faith-not in church pews, but in hospital hallways, on NICU monitors, and through whispered prayers beside a child she nearly didn't live to meet.
The Alchemy of Pain is more than a memoir. It's a roadmap for
anyone who's ever been shattered-and needs proof that rebuilding is possible. It doesn't promise ease. It promises transformation. This is a book for anyone who's lost what they couldn't imagine living without... and still found a reason to breathe.
Not just inspiration. But evolution-etched in scar tissue, and
stitched with grace.
